1. Histórico do Cliente

The customer is from Chile and is the owner of a semi-trailer body manufacturing factory. The two parties first met at the Canton Fair in April 2026 and exchanged information about the procurement needs for lifting equipment at the exhibition site.

The customer had previously used bridge cranes and was familiar with the products and related technical parameters, so the procurement requirements were very clear.

Due to the gradual aging of the factory’s existing equipment, the customer plans to re-purchase two SNHD single-girder overhead cranes and one KBK light crane system to meet the factory’s daily production and material handling needs.

The manufacturing of semi-trailer bodies involves the transportation of a large amount of steel and components, and there are high requirements for the stability and coverage of lifting equipment. As an experienced equipment user, the customer pays more attention to whether the configuration can match the existing factory and production process during the selection process.

Old equipment not only affects the lifting efficiency but may also bring safety hazards. Updating the lifting equipment is not only to meet the needs of production growth but also to improve the working conditions in the workshop.

2.Clarifying Technical Requirements

At the Canton Fair, we communicated with the customer about the equipment requirements and confirmed the main configuration requirements.

The customer plans to purchase two cross-beam single-girder bridge cranes and requires that the hoists use chain hoists, with lifting using dual-speed control and operation using variable frequency control. In addition, the customer also needs a KBK light lifting system.

For customers with experience in using existing equipment, the focus of the scheme communication is more practical and down-to-earth, ensuring that the configuration matches the factory’s production needs.

The chain hoist combined with dual-speed lifting can not only ensure the transportation efficiency but also facilitate low-speed precise positioning of heavy components; variable frequency operation makes the large vehicle movement more stable, suitable for frequent and precise positioning of lifting in the workshop.

After the requirements were confirmed, SEVENCRANE provided the customer with a preliminary quotation, laying the foundation for subsequent procurement communication.

3.Stagnation of Online Communication

After the Canton Fair, although the requirements had been confirmed and the quotations provided, the customer had not replied to any subsequent messages online.

In June, SEVENCRANE planned to attend the EXPONOR exhibition in Chile. We sent an exhibition invitation to the customer in advance and further contacted the customer by phone, trying to find an opportunity to continue the communication.

During the communication, the customer said he was in Santiago and proposed to meet directly at his factory.

This feedback created an opportunity for both parties to further understand the project and also pushed the communication from the online quotation stage forward.

4.Factory On-site Visit

Subsequently, our business colleagues arrived in Chile in advance and visited the customer’s factory.

Face-to-face communication enables both parties to discuss equipment requirements and project details more directly.

The business colleagues inspected the layout of the factory, the operation of the existing equipment, and the material handling routes on-site. These first-hand information made the subsequent adjustment of the scheme more based on the factory’s conditions. In addition to confirming the factory’s status, we also expressed SEVENCRANE’s long-term emphasis on the South American market. In the past two years, we have participated in many exhibitions in Mexico, Peru, and Chile, and have visited many customer sites for on-site visits and communication about machine usage. SEVENCRANE plans to establish an office in South America in 2026, in order to better serve customers.

The customer demonstrated a positive attitude during the on-site communication and recognized the professional attitude. Through this visit, both parties further exchanged the procurement scheme. The business colleagues also gained a deeper understanding of the customer’s actual needs based on the information obtained during the on-site communication.

5.Updating the Scheme

After the on-site visit, SEVENCRANE updated the crane installation plan based on the further confirmed requirements and re-communicated with the client about the relevant configurations and quotations.

After the plan update, the client further requested a price adjustment. The two sides conducted several rounds of communication and negotiations regarding the quotation.

During the negotiation process, we took into account the client’s budget demands while adhering to the equipment configuration and quality requirements. Eventually, conditions acceptable to both parties were reached. After negotiation, the two sides finally agreed on the procurement conditions and the project was successfully concluded.

6. Resumo do Caso

This cooperation began in April 2026 at the Canton Fair. Both parties confirmed the initial requirements at the exhibition, but there was no significant progress in the subsequent online communication.

With the arrangement of the trip to Chile in June, SEVENCRANE contacted the client again and further facilitated the on-site visit to the factory.

Through face-to-face communication, on-site demand discussions, and subsequent plan updates, the two parties gradually pushed the project into price negotiations and finally reached a cooperation agreement.

The client’s factory is large in scale and there may be additional demand for pontes rolantes in the future. This also provides potential opportunities for subsequent cooperation between the two parties.
