1.The Old Customer Chooses SEVENCRANE Again

The customer is from Oman and belongs to Dhofar Glass Company LLC, serving as the manager. The company mainly engages in glass manufacturing and processing.

The two parties have already had cooperation before. Last year, the customer purchased a European type single girder gantry crane from SEVENCRANE. Through this cooperation, the customer was very satisfied with our product quality and delivery speed.

This year, the customer contacted SEVENCRANE again and requested to purchase a pont roulant monopoutre de type européen for glass transportation and lifting within the factory.

This inquiry also reflects that SEVENCRANE’s manufacturing strength has been recognized by more customers. The repeat purchase by the old customer is the most direct affirmation of product quality and service.

Glass is a fragile and heavy material. The handling process requires stability and accuracy to avoid impact. Bridge cranes can achieve large-scale material transfer along the factory track, which is a commonly used lifting solution in glass processing workshops.

2.Understanding the Factory and Working Conditions

After receiving the customer’s requirements, we did not simply recommend standard products based on the lifting tonnage. Instead, we further understood the factory’s factory conditions and actual operation needs.

Bridge cranes need to match the installation conditions, running space, and handling requirements within the factory. Therefore, before finalizing the configuration, we need to consider the customer’s on-site conditions and equipment usage requirements comprehensively.

Based on the information confirmed during communication and the factory drawings and photos sent by the customer, SEVENCRANE designed a corresponding lifting solution for the customer, helping the customer clarify the equipment specifications and track requirements.

When reviewing the drawings, we focused on key data such as factory clearance, crane beam position, and track span, and combined with the glass handling path to determine the installation and operation mode of the equipment in the factory.

Designing the solution based on the factory conditions and actual operations not only provides product quotations but also assists the customer in determining a configuration suitable for the site, demonstrating the value of targeted solution design.

3.Determine the Bridge Crane Configuration

After preliminary communication, both parties determined the main parameters for this project: pont roulant monopoutre de type européen, with a lifting capacity of 5t, a span of 9m, a lifting height of 7.5m, and two tracks.

This solution is based on the customer’s actual operation requirements and factory conditions, determining the lifting capacity, span, lifting height, and track configuration.

5t corresponds to the lifting capacity of glass and auxiliary materials, 9m span is suitable for the hoisting range within the factory, 7.5m lifting height meets the lifting requirements of glass, and two tracks ensure the stable operation of the equipment in the factory.

For glass manufacturing and processing enterprises, the equipment needs to be coordinated with the production layout and material handling process of the factory. An appropriate lifting solution helps the customer better plan the use of equipment in the factory and avoids installation and operation problems caused by incompatible configurations.

4.Negotiate Price and Delivery Date

Since both parties have previously cooperated, the customer has some understanding of SEVENCRANE. The communication can continue on the basis of the existing cooperation.

After determining the equipment solution, both parties further negotiated the price and delivery date.

For industrial equipment procurement, the customer not only needs to confirm whether the product configuration meets the requirements but also needs to consider the procurement budget and project time arrangement. Therefore, price and delivery time are also important aspects in the progress of this order.

After both parties reached an agreement on the price, they also simultaneously confirmed the delivery schedule. We arranged production based on the customer’s factory’s production plan to ensure that the equipment would be available at the required time without affecting the customer’s normal production.

We stated that the production could be coordinated with the customer’s delivery time to enable the customer’s factory to use the equipment smoothly. After communication, both parties reached an agreement on the relevant conditions, and the project was successfully concluded.

5.Case Summary

From purchasing European single-girder gantry cranes last year to purchasing 5-ton European single-girder bridge cranes again this year, the cooperation between Dhofar Glass Company LLC and SEVENCRANE has continued.

The key to this project lies not only in providing a 5-ton bridge crane, but also in designing the solution based on the customer’s factory conditions and glass handling requirements, and coordinating the price and delivery time after the solution is confirmed, ultimately achieving the cooperation.

For industrial equipment suppliers, customer repeat purchases are not only an indication of the continuation of the partnership, but also an opportunity to further understand the customer’s equipment needs and provide targeted solutions.

In the future, SEVENCRANE can also continue to provide corresponding lifting equipment and technical support based on the customer’s production needs.
