This project began when a customer from Honduras discovered our company through Facebook while searching for lifting equipment solutions. The customer initially contacted us to inquire about two 6-ton single girder overhead cranes for their warehouse operations. After the first contact on Facebook, our sales team quickly continued the communication through WhatsApp to discuss the project in more detail.

During the early discussions, we learned that the customer’s company handles metal materials such as coil pallets and sheet plates in their warehouse. Previously, these materials were mainly transported using forklifts. However, as the business expanded and the handling frequency increased, forklift operation became inefficient and required more labor. The customer therefore decided to upgrade their material handling system and install overhead cranes to improve efficiency and safety inside the warehouse.

Since the cranes needed to be installed in an existing warehouse, the project required careful planning. The building did not originally have crane-supporting structures, so the system needed to include steel columns and runway beams to support the overhead cranes. To help us better understand the site conditions, the customer sent us videos and photos of the warehouse, along with some basic measurements.

Based on the information provided, our engineering and sales teams worked together to analyze the layout and confirm the key technical parameters, including span, lifting height, runway length, and structural installation requirements. After confirming these details, we prepared a complete proposal, which included not only the two 6-ton single girder overhead cranes but also the steel structure system with supporting columns and runway beams required for installation in the warehouse.

In addition to the quotation, we also shared more information about our company to build trust with the customer. Our sales representative introduced our recent exhibition activities in Latin America, including trade shows we attended this year, and explained our future plans to develop a local office in the Latin American market. We also shared photos and videos of our factory production, previously delivered projects, and shipment processes, as well as several successful crane cases from customers in the region.

After reviewing the proposal, the customer showed strong interest but requested a price discount to fit their project budget. After internal discussion, we offered a reasonable discount within our acceptable range. The customer appreciated our flexibility and professionalism. After evaluating the final quotation, they confirmed that the solution met both their technical and financial expectations.

Shortly afterward, the customer officially placed the order for the two 6-ton single girder overhead cranes, and the project moved smoothly into the production stage.

The single girder overhead crane is an advanced industrial lifting solution engineered for high efficiency, compact design, and superior operational performance. Designed with modern European crane technology, this crane features a lightweight yet high-strength structure that significantly reduces self-weight while maintaining excellent load capacity.

Advantages of Single Girder Overhead Cranes

Lightweight European-Style Structure

The single girder overhead crane adopts a European-style variable cross-section box girder design, which significantly reduces the overall dead weight of the structure. Compared with traditional crane designs, this optimized structure can reduce the crane’s weight by approximately 25%. The lighter structure places less stress on the building’s columns and foundations, which helps lower the requirements for the supporting steel structure and civil engineering. As a result, customers can reduce the cost of workshop construction while maintaining excellent lifting performance and structural stability.

Low Headroom Design for Greater Lifting Height

The hoisting system is installed on the lower flange of the main girder, which allows the single girder overhead crane to make full use of the available vertical space inside the building. This low-headroom design provides up to 15% more effective hook lifting height compared to conventional cranes under the same building clearance. This feature is particularly beneficial in workshops where the building height is limited but higher lifting capacity is required.

Full Variable Frequency Control (VFD)

All crane movements—including hoisting, trolley travel, and bridge travel—are controlled by variable frequency drives (VFD). This advanced control system allows the crane to start and stop smoothly with gradual acceleration and deceleration. The result is stable and precise operation with minimal vibration or shock, which helps protect both the lifted materials and the crane structure itself while improving operational safety and equipment lifespan.

Adaptable to Harsh Working Environments

The single girder overhead crane is designed to operate reliably in demanding environments. Key electrical components and motors are equipped with IP55 protection, ensuring effective resistance against dust and moisture. In addition, the control cabinet features a ventilation and heat-dissipation design, which helps maintain stable performance even in high-temperature and high-humidity working conditions.

International Certification for Global Markets

The single girder overhead crane is supplied with complete CE certification documentation in accordance with the EU Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC. This ensures compliance with international safety standards and facilitates smoother import procedures, customs clearance, and on-site safety inspections in many countries.
