Electromagnetic Overhead Crane Overview

An electromagnetic overhead crane is designed for lifting and transporting ferromagnetic materials such as steel plates, bars, coils and scrap metal. Equipped with a detachable electromagnetic chuck, it uses magnetic force generated by an electric current to securely hold metal loads during lifting and transportation. When the power is switched off, the magnetic force is released for quick unloading. With reliable lifting, traveling and electrical systems, the crane provides efficient material handling in steel mills, metal processing plants, ports and scrap yards. The crane can also be customized in capacity, span, lifting height and electromagnetic chuck configuration to meet different handling requirements.

50t Electromagnetic Double Girder Overhead Crane

A steel processing company in Russia contacted SEVENCRANE for a 50t double girder overhead crane with an electromagnetic chuck for handling steel materials.
After discussing the working conditions, we prepared the quotation and detailed crane drawings for the customer's review. The customer carefully checked the drawings and requested several modifications to the lifting arrangement, electrical configuration and overall dimensions. Our engineering team revised the design accordingly and confirmed the final drawings with the customer before production. The crane was then manufactured according to the approved design and delivered successfully.
