Underhung Crane

An underhung bridge crane is a suspended crane system that runs along rails installed beneath the building structure or runway beams. The bridge and hoist travel below the supporting structure, making efficient use of available headroom and providing greater hook coverage within the workshop. Since the runway can be supported by the existing building structure, underhung cranes can reduce the need for floor-mounted columns and help keep the working area open. They are well suited for workshops and production facilities with limited overhead space, where flexible material handling and unobstructed floor space are important.
