SEVENCRANE recently completed another successful cooperation with a long-term customer in Pakistan, supplying two 4 ton European type double girder overhead cranes for a local industrial project. The customer is a crane trading company that supplies lifting equipment to various end users in the Pakistani market. Having already established a good business relationship with SEVENCRANE through a previous purchase, the customer returned to us with confidence for this new project.
At the beginning of the inquiry, the customer requested two 4 ton European type double girder overhead cranes, each to be installed on different runways within the customer’s workshop. To ensure accurate design, the customer provided detailed workshop drawings and runway layout plans for our engineering team to review. After analyzing the site conditions, we confirmed the technical specifications and began preparing a customized lifting solution.
One of the main challenges of this project was the 46.3-meter span requirement. Such a long span created transportation limitations for the crane girders. If the main girders were manufactured in full length, transportation would be extremely difficult and costly. To solve this issue, our engineering team designed the main girder in three sectional parts, with two connection joints. This segmented design ensured convenient transportation while maintaining the structural strength and operational stability of the cranes after installation.
During the quotation stage, the customer carefully compared our solution with the equipment previously purchased from a European supplier. The customer had long cooperated with a well-known European crane manufacturer and had high expectations regarding quality, performance, and technical support. Because of our previous successful cooperation, the customer already had confidence in manufacturing capabilities, but still paid close attention to technical details, including the girder connection method, operating stability, and installation feasibility.
To address these concerns, our technical and sales teams worked closely with the customer, providing detailed design drawings, connection solutions, and professional recommendations. We explained how the segmented girder design would simplify transportation while ensuring precise installation and reliable long-term operation. Our prompt communication and professional support gave the customer strong confidence in the final proposal.
After reviewing the updated proposal, the customer was satisfied with both the technical design and the cost-effectiveness of our offer, and quickly confirmed the order. Thanks to the successful first cooperation, the customer trusted our ability to deliver reliable products and efficient service, making this repeat purchase process much smoother.
This repeat order once again demonstrates our strength in providing customized overhead crane solutions, even for projects with complex transportation and installation requirements. We are proud to continue supporting our partners in Pakistan with reliable lifting equipment and professional service.
Features of Double Girder Overhead Cranes
Double girder overhead cranes are widely used for handling heavy materials in industrial environments. With two parallel girders supporting the hoist, this crane design provides greater lifting capacity, improved stability, and wider span coverage compared with single girder overhead cranes. It is an ideal solution for factories, warehouses, workshops, and construction sites where efficient and safe material handling is essential.
1.High Load Capacity and Wide Span Capability
The double girder structure allows the crane to lift heavier loads and operate over larger spans. With two main girders supporting the trolley and hoist, the crane offers enhanced stability and strength during operation. This makes it suitable for demanding lifting tasks in heavy-duty workshops and industrial plants where large materials or equipment need to be moved safely.
2.Suitable for Various Working Conditions
Double girder overhead cranes are commonly used in indoor workshops and manufacturing facilities. Depending on the frequency of use and load conditions, they can be designed according to different duty classifications, such as A5 for medium-duty applications and A6 for heavy-duty operations. This flexibility allows the crane to meet the specific needs of various industries.
3.Flexible Cabin Design
The operator cabin can be designed according to the workshop layout and customer requirements. Access to the cabin can be arranged from the side, end, or top, providing flexibility for installation and operation. In addition, the cabin can be mounted on either the left side or right side of the crane, making it adaptable to different plant configurations.
4.Reliable Power Supply Options
The double girder overhead crane can be equipped with different electrical power supply systems, such as safety trolley lines or angle iron conductor systems. The electrical conduction system can be installed on the same side as the operator cabin or on the opposite side, depending on operational preferences and site conditions.
5.Multiple Control Methods
To improve operational convenience, the double girder overhead crane can be controlled either by remote control from the ground or through the operator cabin. These multiple operating modes provide greater flexibility, enhance efficiency, and ensure safer handling of heavy materials.
