The customer is from Venezuela and is the owner of a local construction materials company. Company Name is Automercado Gigante C.A. Their main business involves the sale and storage of construction materials. He contacted SEVENCRANE through Alibaba International Station. The client intends to purchase a 5-ton single girder overhead crane for material handling within their building materials warehouse.
Has clearly defined the basic type of equipment and its lifting capacity, but they are still not very familiar with the technical parameters, operation methods, and accessories of the bridge crane. This project requires the selection of appropriate equipment and assistance from the client to understand the basic configuration and confirm the factory conditions. Our engineers will develop an appropriate plan within the limited budget.
SEVENCRANE specializes in the design, production and export of cranes, and has over 8 years of experience in this field. Overhead cranes are one of our core products, and we have an extensive track record of exports. Please contact us if you are interested in overhead cranes. We hope to help more customers improve their efficiency through the knowledge of cranes we possess.
During the initial communication, we found that the customer had limited knowledge of bridge cranes. The customer knew they needed a 5-ton bridge crane, but was still unsure about how to determine the complete configuration, such as the tracks, supporting beams, and installation space, etc.
In response to the customer’s questions, we did not directly send the technical parameter sheet, but instead explained the meanings of the terms and parameters one by one, and clarified their relationship with actual use. For example, a single-girder bridge crane consists of the main girder, end girder, electric hoist, and operating mechanism. The lifting capacity determines the selection of the main girder and hoist, the span determines the length of the main girder, and the lifting height is related to the clear height of the factory.
We explained the actual functions of the parameters in the context of the building materials warehouse scenario, and the customer gradually realized that when choosing a bridge crane, not only the lifting capacity was considered, but also the factory conditions, running distance, and track matching factors.
After further understanding the site, we confirmed that the customer’s factory had not installed the running tracks required for the bridge crane, so the project could not only consider the crane body, but also clearly define the track-related configuration and installation conditions.
The bridge crane needs to move along the specified tracks through the operating mechanism, so the plan must consider the length of the tracks, installation conditions, and whether the supporting structures such as the supporting beams meet the operation requirements. Without suitable tracks and supports, the purchase of the bridge crane cannot be put into normal use.
After communicating with the customer, we finally confirmed that the operating distance of the bridge crane was 24.3 m. This specific data provided an important basis for subsequent calculation of the requirements for the running tracks, determining the length of the tracks and the supporting scheme.
Based on the confirmed factory conditions and operating distance, we further clarified the requirements for the bridge crane and its supporting facilities. For the unconfirmed track specifications, supporting methods, and installation conditions, we further verified them in the final technical plan to ensure that the plan matched the site.
The customer was sensitive to the purchase price and clearly stated that the project budget was limited. Therefore, in addition to meeting the lifting capacity and operating distance requirements, the overall cost of the scheme also needed to be considered.
However, we did not reduce the necessary configuration due to the budget. The rated lifting capacity needs to meet 5 tons, the operating range is determined based on the 24.3 m distance, and the tracks and supporting facilities need to match the site and the final scheme. While controlling costs, we cannot ignore necessary safety requirements and equipment configuration.
SEVENCRANE designed the equipment scheme based on the confirmed parameters, factory conditions, and budget, arranging the configuration and supporting scope reasonably while meeting the core requirements, and through scheme communication, made the customer understand the relationship between configuration and cost. We tried to meet the actual usage requirements within the customer’s acceptable budget, ensuring that every penny is invested with a clear equipment value.
During the communication process, the customer proposed to deliver the equipment to the designated location, and the subsequent shipping would be arranged by the customer themselves. Based on this, both parties clarified the scope of equipment delivery and the logistics division.
According to the confirmed delivery location and transportation arrangement, we clarified the supply and delivery contents included in the quotation, avoiding including the shipping costs or responsibilities arranged by the customer themselves or the transportation range in the supplier’s delivery scope.
This arrangement means that the customer can arrange the subsequent shipping according to their own logistics channels, and the supplier clearly explains the delivery links they are responsible for, ensuring that both parties have a consistent understanding of the transportation division. The specific delivery location, cost-bearing method, and trade terms are subject to the actual contract or quotation.
The customer contacted SEVENCRANE through Alibaba International Station and proposed the purchase of a 5-ton single-girder bridge crane. Both parties gradually confirmed the technical parameters, the track conditions of the factory building, and the 24.3-meter running distance. Considering the limited budget of the client, SEVENCRANE designed a corresponding solution and clarified the subsequent logistics arrangements.
For clients who are not familiar with lifting equipment, professional parameter explanations and adequate communication can reduce information gaps. By combining actual usage conditions, confirming necessary accessories and reasonably controlling costs, it can help clients make a clearer assessment of the purchase options and select a single-girder bridge crane that matches the factory conditions within the budget.
